Dear Friends and Family,

I am overjoyed to announce my new book — “The Roots of Joy!”

“The Roots of Joy” is about a man named Dale Baxter. Dale grew up in the shadows of Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Braves on TBS became the soundtrack of his childhood summers. He’s got a keen ear for the blues and Southern Rock music.

But his greatest passion is his gift of language and storytelling. Dale has used this gift to get him through one emotional body blow after another. He’s had a lifelong dream of writing and publishing a novel.

After a particularly brutal setback, he uproots his life and moves to the shadows of New York City. While there, he gets an interesting job, helping wealthy and celebrity clientele outfit the multimedia rooms in their homes.

While he gains satisfaction from a job well done, he’s not happy.

On a Sunday evening, he decided to dine at his favorite Irish pub after work. Little did he know that his life would be turned on its head that night at the pub. As fate would have it, he unexpectedly ran into an old flame from Cobb County.

Hadley has become a successful businesswoman and her work has taken her to Dale’s city in Connecticut. Neither Dale nor Hadley were happy with how things dissolved back home, but circumstances tore them apart.

There’s only one thing standing in the way of Dale reigniting this old flame. And that thing…is himself.

Or at least a previous version of himself.

“The Roots of Joy” promises to take you on an emotional ride that will have you laughing and crying and thinking about the parts of yourself that you need to love and accept.

What are your “Roots of Joy?”

“The Roots of Joy” coming this Spring to the Kindle store, paperback, hardcover, and later in Audiobook.

More information will be available as we get closer to the release date.

Thank you for your support. And I am confident that you’ll fall in love with Dale and Hadley as much as I have in creating them.

With love and story,

Ryan
